The beautiful Great Lakes surround the town of Sault Ste. Marie, located on the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Fishing, hunting, shopping and exploring historical landmarks all are popular activities here. The shipping industry provides many jobs in Sault Ste. Marie, but unemployment is a problem, and several families live in poverty. Your group will have a variety of ministry opportunities in Sault Ste. Marie and nearby Kinross Township—from serving the elderly, facilitating children’s programs or partnering with local social service organizations to reach out to the homeless and others in need.

St. Paul's LakeWalk Team Rocks!

Go St. Paul's Team Oconomowoc! We actually ended up with 29 people on our team and a total of $2170.00 funds raised. Wow! We had just thrown up goals of 50 for our St. Paul's team numbers and a fundraising goal of $2500. We almost met that fundraising goal! The total raised at the walk was over $140,000, and funds raised by Thrivent members totaled $8,360.00 with a match of $1600.00 to toal $9,968.00 for cancer research, treatment, and support.
Thanks to the following folks for joining us on a brisk day to take a walk with shirts that shared news of St. Paul's Ev.
