Extracurricular Activities

Outstanding extracurricular opportunities, athletics, special events, and emphasis on Christian service continue to make St. Paul’s Lutheran School and excellent choice not only for members of the congregation, but also for many families in the community looking for a caring, Christian atmosphere.

Extracurricular Activities

Extracurricular programs are very important at St. Paul's. We have many different opportunities for our students to get involved in activities that are of interest to them. A few examples of these programs are: Student Council, Knowledge Bowl, Forensics, Yearbook club, Girl Scout and Boy Scout programs. Each group is properly supervised by a member of the SPLS faculty or by a trained parent. With so many different options, our students have the freedom to try new things and explore the many talents that God has blessed them with.

Athletics

Beginning as early as 5 years old, our students have the opportunity to get involved in our extracurricular sports program. We offer golf, volleyball, basketball, dance, softball, cross country & track and field at various times throughout the year. Our Warrior Athletic program is an integral part of the overall educational community here at St. Paul's and we are blessed to give our students the opportunity to use their talents to glorify God in this way.

Bible Study

Every Christian can benefit from continued studies in God’s Word. Time to Grow is our offering of classes on Wednesday nights for the whole family. Through Bible study the Holy Spirit works to build up our faith as we continue to grow and understand God’s Holy Word. We have a meal available in the Fellowship Hall starting at 5:00pm ($4 adult, $3 for 5-13 years, under 5 is free), then we gather in the church for a time of devotion and singing before being dismissed to our classes. The children participate in their own age appropriate class studying themes from the Bible through stories, crafts and games. The adults have a variety of classes they can choose from during the same time.

Youth Group

Active Christian Teens” serves youth from 5th to 12th grade. The mission of this ministry is to provide for the continuing spiritual growth of youth and to help them to feel the love Jesus has for them through Bible study, Christian Service, and fellowship with other teens. Activities to accomplish this mission include “Sunday Night Alive” providing fun activities with a Christian devotional, community service projects, weekly Bible studies, worship service assignments and Mission trips throughout the year. This group is open to all youth in the Lake Country area, regardless of their membership at St. Paul’s.
